Resync Phones

What is a Resync?

A Resync forces the phones to reach out to CallHarbor's servers and download the most recent configuration.

When should a Resync be done?

A Resync should be sent to the phones when:

  • An extension's name is updated
    • Without a resync, the old name will appear in the caller ID
  • A new extension is added
    • Without a resync, phones may not display the new extension in the company directory
  • A phone's buttons are updated
    • Without a resync, the buttons will not update on the phone, even if saved in the portal
