This article assumes that you are already signed into the Manager Portal as an Office Manager or Site Manager, and the auto attendant is already created.
If you are a Site Manager, the auto attendant must be assigned to your Site in order for the auto attendant to be accessible.

1. Select the Auto Attendants tab.
2. Select the auto attendant that you wish to make a new recording for by either clicking on the name or the edit icon.
3. Select to manage the audio:
- If you are recording a new intro greeting, select the manage icon circled in red, then follow Record New Intro Greeting
- If you are recording a new menu prompt, select the manage icon circled in green, then follow Record New Menu Prompt
Recording a New Intro Greeting
The Manage Greetings popup window will appear after the Intro Greetings Manage Audio button is selected. Any previously recorded greetings will be listed in this window.
To add a new intro prompt, select Add Greeting at the bottom right corner of the popup window.
There are 3 different options for adding the new recording:
- Text-To-Speech
- Upload
- Record
Text-To-Speech
Text-to-speech will convert the message typed in the message textbox into a recording.
1. Type the recording script into the Message textbox.
2. Select the voice to use, we recommend Jenny or Sara.
3. Use the Play button to listen to the recording.
4. Select the timeframe when the intro greeting should be played. For instructions on adding a new timeframe, please click here.
5. Select Save to finalize the recording. Cancel will disregard the recording
Upload
Previously recorded audio can be uploaded to the auto attendant. We recommend using a .wav file
1. Select browse and locate the file
After selecing file:
2. Select the timeframe when the intro greeting should be played. For instructions on adding a new timeframe, please click here.
3. Select Upload to finalize the recording. Cancel will disregard the recording
Record
Uses a phone to record the greeting. By default your extension will be filled in the Call Me At textbox
1. In the Call me at text box enter the extension number or phone number you wish to use to record the audio
2. Select the timeframe in which you want this greeting to play.
3. Press the call button and the call will be made to the extension or phone number listed.
The call will prompt you to start recording then press # once finished.
Please note the call does not repeat the recording or give the option to redo it. When the call is ended, the recording is automatically updated.
4. To listen to the new recording, dial the extension of the auto attendant or listen to the recording in the portal:
Recording a New Menu Prompt
The Manage Audio popup window will appear after the Menu Prompt Manage Audio button is selected. The current recording information will be displayed.
To replace the recording with a new one, select the radio button of the method you wish to use to replace the recording.

- Upload
- Record
Text-To-Speech

Record
Uses a phone to record the prompt.
There are 2 ways to record the menu prompt:
- Star Code
- Call Me At
Star Code
The star code allows you to dial it from a phone on your CallHarbor phone system to record the prompt. This star code is unique to each Auto Attendant and does not change.
1. Dial the star code exactly as it appears in the box including the * and the call will prompt you to start recording then press # once finished.
Please note the call does not repeat the recording or give the option to redo it. When the call is ended, the recording is automatically updated.
2. To listen to the new recording:
